When going through the search results, here are a few things to look for when you are assessing what articles work for your research topic.
- Article Title - Can you discern some information from the title? Article titles tend to be more descriptive.
- Date and Publication Title - When was the article published? From what publication?
- Subject Headings - Subject tags can also give you more clues on the content of the article.
- Any Abstracts or Notes Available - If you click on a potential article title, the record sometimes includes Abstracts or Additional Notes that can also help you get more information about the article.
- Access options - Some articles may be linked to open access journals, which means you can read them online. Others may require you to find it in the library or request through Interlibrary Loan.

To check if a record has an Abstract or Additional Notes, click on the article title from the Search Results and look at the full record. If the record does have an Abstract, it will look similar to the following:
