The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a mile-and-a-half long linear stretch of contemporary parks that spans from Boston's North End to Chinatown. It is one of the few organically maintained public parks in the United States that practices sustainable methods resulting in a net-zero environmental footprint. The Greenway is overseen by the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy in partnerships with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Massachusetts Horticultural Society.
