FND 2011 - Sustainable Material Assemblies | Michael Fiorillo
Course Description: Through this course, students will develop an understanding of sustainability through material selection and assembly. Shared Lectures and coursework examine strategies utilized by each of the design professions to negotiate sustainable material flows, performance, and life-cycle cost with regard to our impact on the built environment. The second half of each class engages shared case-studies through a set of disciplinary investigations that evaluate the construct-ability and performance of materials at a range of scales in the context of each design profession.
