The Philippines is a country rich with history and cultural heritage. Having been colonized by various countries for about 600 years prior to its independence in the early 20th century, the imperial influences and indigenous traditions exist alongside each other as cultural landmarks, urban plans, structural designs, and more. This guide was created as a starting point in locating resources and information about Philippine architecture in both historical and contemporary contexts. There are links to journal articles, books from the BAC library, YouTube videos, podcasts, and more.
