The South End is truly a cosmopolitan neighborhood. It is just minutes away from Downtown and the Back Bay, and has recently become one of the City’s most popular neighborhoods.

The purpose of this organization shall be to engage in historical research; to collect and preserve data and real and personal property that may have value for the future; to encourage historical research and protect and promote interest in historical buildings, monuments and sites, all with particular regard to the South End of Boston, to conduct educational and other events, to create and foster education and public awareness of the South End of Boston’s history and architectural significance, and to preserve the architectural integrity of the South End through outreach, advocacy, intervention and special projects.

The Blackstone / Franklin Square Neighborhood Association, Inc. seeks to enhance and preserve the social, cultural, economic and physical conditions of our South End neighborhood, with particular concern for its vibrant, diverse and historical character. We strive to be open, inclusive and among the most active and effective neighborhood voices in the South End.

The CNA is a volunteer organization whose mission is to enhance quality of life for our residents. Our neighborhood association offers the opportunity for our residents to have a voice in the many issues that affect us all: gardens and green spaces, zoning issues, business licenses and development, public safety, fire and police protection, animal control, noise abatement, sanitation, and parking. The CNA provides a forum for developers and residents alike to discuss potential projects, improvements and changes. Our goal is to provide an open and transparent process to maintain and improve the quality of life in our northwest corner of the South End.

The Eight Streets Neighborhood Association is one of several local NA's in the South End. ESNA was originally comprised of the 5 North/South streets and the 3 smaller cross streets. Tremont and Shawmut streets have since become a part of the ESNA family. Eight Streets has been representing, and advocating for, residents since the 1970's.

The Ellis South End Neighborhood Association was started in 1964 and incorporated as a non-profit in 1982. The mission of the association today is to enhance and preserve the quality of life in the neighborhood by bringing residents and businesses together, by providing a forum for discussing local and citywide issues, planning social activities and projects that build relationships among neighbors, creating an effective communication link with the City of Boston, and working to keep our neighbors informed of news and decisions that impact the community.

The UPNA, a non-profit organization in Boston’s South End, encompasses the area between Upton Street and Waltham Street and between Tremont Street and Harrison Avenue
