Sustainable architecture design seeks to reduce negative impacts to the environment by reducing consumption of non-renewable resources, minimizing waste, employing environmentally friendly materials, and optimizing site potential along with operational and maintenance practices. Beyond a newer branch of traditional architecture, sustainable design reflects the cultural perspective of its occupants. It is a design choice that is primarily concerned with preserving the relationship between the people, the building, and the environment.
