Gale Databases

Gale is a research and educational publishing company that includes databases with full-text articles covering academic topics and specialized reference materials for multi-disciplinary research.

Databases to Know

There are several subject-specific databases and several general databases that are good to know about.

 

Gale Academic OneFile

Scholarly broad range (peer-reviewed) articles with a high percentage of full-text articles. There are over 19,000 scholarly journals and reference sources.

 

Gale Academic OneFile Select

Scholarly journals and popular magazines published after 1980 in the arts, humanities, social sciences, sciences, and technology. There are approximately 5,700 journals.

 

Gale in Context: Opposing Viewpoints

Contextualized research topics offering differing viewpoints through reference articles, news articles, and multi-media about current events and global issues.

The Browse Issues page is a tool specific to this database, where you can browse curated pages on topics. On the database page, select the Browse Issues button.

Once you select your topic you will be taken to the issue page with an overview, viewpoints, statistics, related articles, and multi-media.
