FIMo: Fire Insurance Maps Online : Printing and Saving Maps

Instructional guide on how to use FIMo, a collection of high resolution, full-color fire insurance maps in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Printing and Saving Maps

Use the Output Map button on the main viewing page to open the selected map sheet in a new window. Zoom in or out of that new window to adjust the map sheet to the desired magnification and position.  You can also add any notes by clicking on the space under the map.

When the image is ready, click the Create PDF Document button at the top of the map window to download the PDF that you can save/print. The PDF file will automatically be added to your computer’s downloads folder and can also be opened from the icon at the bottom left of your browser.

Downloading JPGs

If you would like to download the sheet without any added markings and/or would prefer having a JPG file, use the Download JPG button. The JPG files will download, in most instances, as 300 PPI and roughly 16 x 20 inches.
